  • 1 cup Onion Finely chopped or grated.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced; garlic powder can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 large Egg Or use a flax egg for vegan option.
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup Use BBQ sauce for a sweet twist.
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Soy sauce can be substituted.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Thyme Optional; can also use Italian seasoning.
For the Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup Brush on halfway through baking.

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather all your ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, onion, garlic, egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and thyme. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a baking sheet lined with parchment or a greased loaf pan. Shape into a loaf.
  4. Bake uncovered for 45-55 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Brush the top with additional ketchup halfway through.
  5. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing to enjoy.
