Preparation Steps
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- Drizzle olive oil over your wings and toss them gently to ensure they are well-coated. Allow the wings to rest for about 10 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine the Cajun seasoning, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried thyme, oregano, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
- Sprinkle the dry rub mixture generously over the wings and massage into the wings.
- If possible, cover and refrigerate the wings for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
- Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
- Bake the wings for about 30 minutes, flip them, and then bake for another 20-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- While the wings are baking, melt unsalted butter in a saucepan. Stir in apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and hot sauce. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Remove wings from the oven and toss them with the warm sauce in a large mixing bowl.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
