  • 1 lb Ground Beef (85/15) Can be replaced with all pork or turkey as desired.
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Regular breadcrumbs can be used if panko is unavailable.
  • 2 Eggs (beaten) Flaxseed meal mixed with water can be used for a vegan substitute.
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Onion (finely diced) Yellow onion can be substituted.
  • 1 cup Red Bell Pepper (finely diced) Green bell pepper can be an alternative.
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Use garlic powder as a smaller-scale substitute.
For the Flavor Boosters
  • 1/4 cup Milk Can be replaced with non-dairy milk for lactose intolerance.
  • 1/4 cup Pineapple Juice Substitute with apple juice if needed.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Cilantro Parsley can be used if cilantro is not preferred.
  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice Lemon juice is an acceptable substitute.
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Soy sauce can be used as a gluten-free alternative.
  • 2 tbsp Jamaican Jerk Seasoning Homemade seasoning can be made.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Warm olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion and red bell pepper for 5–7 minutes, then add garlic for 1–2 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sautéed vegetables with ground meats, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, pineapple juice, cilantro, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, jerk seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Form the mixture into meatballs about 1–2 inches in diameter and place them on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, increase temperature to 425°F (220°C) and bake for another 10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Let the meatballs rest for a few minutes, then serve warm with a dipping sauce and garnish with green onions.
