  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper or yellow/orange for variety
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper optional for milder flavor
  • 1 medium Onion yellow onions for a softer taste
  • 3 cloves Garlic or 1/8 tsp garlic powder per clove
For the Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce or hoisin sauce as alternative
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper or white pepper for different heat

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine thinly sliced flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated beef and stir-fry for around 5 minutes until browned.
  3. In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and toss in red and green bell peppers, onion, and minced garlic. Stir-fry for approximately 4 minutes.
  4. Return the beef to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Pour in oyster sauce and sprinkle black pepper. Stir everything for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Plate the Sizzling Chinese Pepper Steak with Onions immediately and serve hot.
