Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey with sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, and chopped shallot. Add fish sauce, lime juice, cilantro, ginger, and season with black pepper and salt. Mix gently with hands.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into patties, about ½ inch thick. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375°F to 400°F). Lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. If desired, toast the whole wheat buns on the grill. Assemble by layering lettuce, turkey patty, cucumber, onion, and drizzle with extra sweet chili sauce.
  6. Serve immediately while hot, paired with sweet potato fries or Asian slaw.
