Step-by-Step Instructions for Rosemary Apple Cider Chicken
  1. Season the chicken thighs with onion and garlic powder, smoked paprika, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook other side for another 5-7 minutes. Remove from pan.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and chopped apples. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until onions are translucent and apples are softened.
  4. Pour in apple cider and chicken broth. Add Dijon mustard and garlic, simmer for 3 minutes.
  5. Return chicken to skillet, cover, and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve hot, drizzling the sauce over the chicken. Pair with sides like mashed potatoes or bread.
