- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a 7”x11” (2-quart) baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground protein with breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, onion, and eggs. Add 1 cup of marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently without overmixing.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan and press it evenly into the corners.
- Top the meat mixture with the remaining ½ cup of marinara sauce and sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
