  5. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, portion dough into 1-inch balls and place on baking sheets.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft.

  8. Sprinkle with crushed peppermint while still warm, then let cool on a wire rack.
