  • 1 medium Onion Sautéed for a sweeter taste.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh minced garlic works best for flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Optional for a simpler taste.
For the Mummy Wraps
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry Store-bought is convenient.
  • 10 slices Sliced Olives Used for the eyes; swap for pepper or cheese if desired.
For the Garnish
  • 2 tbsp Parsley or Chives Fresh herbs for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup Ketchup Reduced-sugar ketchup is an option.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  3. Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined baking sheet and shape it into a rectangular loaf, about 2 inches high.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes or until internal temperature is 160°F (71°C).
  5. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into strips for the mummy's wrap.
  6. Wrap the pastry around the meatloaf, leaving gaps for eyes.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Place sliced olives as eyes once out of the oven.
  9. Garnish with parsley or chives, drizzle ketchup around for a 'bloody' effect, and serve warm.
