Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Mince or Pork/Chicken/Turkey
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs or Panko
  • 1 large Eggs
  • 3 stalks Green Onions finely sliced
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Cracked Pepper to taste
For the Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Shaoxing Chinese Wine
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar or Coconut Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Ground White Pepper or Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Oil or vegetable oil
For Serving
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds optional garnish
  • 2 stalks Sliced Green Onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and prepare baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, eggs, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, garlic, ginger, green onions, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheets.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While baking, prepare the sauce by combining the sauce ingredients in a skillet over medium-high heat. Simmer for about 8 minutes.
  6. Coat the cooked meatballs in the sauce once they are done.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions, then serve warm.
