Preparation Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, eggs, and milk. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Add vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, and salt. Mix in brown sugar if desired.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Add butter or oil and let it melt.
  4. Dip bread slices into the batter, coating both sides. Let soak for about 30 seconds.
  5. Place soaked bread slices onto the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Stack cooked slices on a serving plate, drizzle with maple syrup, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and top with nuts.
