- Prepare the Crockpot by spraying the inside with non-stick cooking spray.
- Layer half of the frozen pierogi at the bottom of the crockpot.
- Add half of the sliced kielbasa and half of the chopped onion over the pierogi.
- Mix the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and melted butter in a bowl.
- Spread half of this creamy sauce over the layered ingredients in the crockpot.
- Add the remaining frozen pierogi on top of the sauce, followed by the rest of the kielbasa and onion.
- Spread the remaining creamy sauce over the top of the last layer.
- Cover and cook on low heat for about 4 to 5 hours.
- During the last 30 minutes, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Serve warm, garnished with freshly chopped chives.
