Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by dicing your beef into bite-sized pieces. Season the beef with salt, black pepper, and other spices. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in your pot over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in batches and sear for 6-8 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add chopped onions and sauté over medium heat for about 5 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add blended tomatoes and red peppers, cook over medium heat for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens.
  5. Return the seared beef to the pot and add water or broth to cover the beef. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary. Let it simmer uncovered for an additional 5-10 minutes for enhanced richness.
