Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and lime juice. Whisk until smooth.
  2. Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's completely coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Remove the marinated flank steak from the refrigerator 20 minutes before grilling to allow it to reach room temperature. Preheat your grill to medium-high at about 400°F (200°C).
  4. Grill the flank steak for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, flipping once, until a medium-rare doneness is achieved.
  5. Allow the flank steak to rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
