  • 2 pounds lean ground beef 90% lean preferred
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs plain or seasoned
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk non-dairy milk can be used
  • 1 large egg or flax egg for vegan option
  • 1 cup ketchup for glaze and mix
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup parsley fresh or dried
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup ketchup for glaze
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a loaf pan by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, beaten egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape it evenly, flattening the top.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar until smooth. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake the meatloaf uncovered for 55 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest in the pan for 8-10 minutes before slicing.
