Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed to fully integrate each egg.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the devil’s food cake mix, oil, water, and eggs until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Pour the cake batter into the baking dish, then spoon the ricotta mixture over the top.
  6. Bake for 60-70 minutes until the edges pull away slightly and the center is set.
  7. While cooling, prepare the frosting according to package instructions using cold milk.
  8. Fold in whipped topping until airy and well combined.
  9. Once cooled, frost the cake with the chocolate pudding mixture.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
