Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and brown sugar until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. Add egg, honey, and vanilla, whisking until blended.
  3. Gently stir in flour, salt, and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Combine the granulated sugar and remaining ½ teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over the top.
  5. Bake for 22-25 minutes, checking with a toothpick; it should come out clean with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Allow to cool in the pan on a wire rack completely before cutting into squares.
