Baking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour, nutmeg, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a larger mixing bowl, cream the butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture and mix until combined.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until the flour is no longer visible.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden but centers are still soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Dust the warm cookies with powdered sugar and a sprinkle of nutmeg before serving.
