Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, nutmeg, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a larger mixing bowl, cream the butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until the flour is no longer visible.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden but centers are still soft.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Dust the warm cookies with powdered sugar and a sprinkle of nutmeg before serving.
