  • 8 oz Vegan Cream Cheese brands like Violife or Kite Hill
  • 1/4 cup Sugar or Xylitol sweeten to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice optional for flavor enhancement
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract optional for added warmth
  • 1 cup Pie Filling e.g., Cherry, Blueberry
  • 2 tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup or Agave for glazing

Method
 

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine vegan cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, and optional vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a lined or greased baking tray.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and slice it into 12 sections. Stretch each piece to create wells for filling.
  4. Brush the dough with pure maple syrup. Place a tablespoon of cream cheese filling in each well, and add a few teaspoons of pie filling.
  5. Arrange the assembled Danishes on the tray and bake for approximately 18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Allow the Danishes to cool on a wire rack for about 5-10 minutes before serving.
