Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes until thickened. Blend until smooth and refrigerate.
  2. In a stand mixer, whisk together flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk, butter, and egg. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let rise covered until doubled, about 2 hours.
  3. Punch down the dough, roll it out to a rectangle, spread filling, and roll tightly. Cut into 12 rolls.
  4. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and rise for 30-60 minutes. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  5. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden. Cool for 10 minutes before glazing.
  6. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and strawberry puree until smooth. Spread over warm rolls.
