Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine orange juice, olive oil, honey, water, and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
  2. Gradually incorporate fine semolina. In a separate bowl, whisk together baking powder, baking soda, and flour. Slowly add to the liquid mixture.
  3. Divide the dough into 40-45 gram portions and shape into ovals. Place on parchment-lined sheets and create a criss-cross pattern.
  4. Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F) and bake cookies for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Prepare syrup by combining sugar, honey, and water with cinnamon, cloves, and orange peel. Bring to boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Soak warm cookies in syrup.
  6. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with walnuts before serving.
