Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook for about 5β7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula, until itβs browned and no longer pink.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the browned beef and mix well. Follow the package instructions, usually cooking for an additional 2β3 minutes.
- While the beef cooks, wash and chop the iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and chopped onion.
- Once the beef mixture has cooled slightly, add it to the bowl with the vegetables. Toss everything together gently until well combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes.
- Just before serving, drizzle the Catalina dressing over the chilled salad and fold in the crushed Doritos gently.
- Transfer the Dorito Taco Salad to a large serving bowl or individual plates. Garnish with additional chopped tomatoes or cheese if desired.
