Method

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Heat the milk and butter together until warm but not boiling, then pour this mixture into the dry ingredients.
  3. Mix until you form a sticky dough, then knead on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes, until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl, covering it with a clean kitchen towel. Allow it to rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
  5. While the dough rises, prepare the creamy filling by beating together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  6. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  7. After the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release air bubbles. Roll the dough out into a large rectangle, about 1/4-inch thick.
  8. Evenly spread the cream cheese and strawberry filling over the dough, leaving a small border.
  9. Beginning at one long side, carefully roll the dough tightly into a log shape.
  10. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces and place the sliced rolls cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  11. Cover the rolled slices with a towel and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  12. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  13. Once preheated, bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  14. After baking, let cool for about 10 minutes and dust with powdered sugar.
