Ingredients
  

For the Tofu
  • 14 oz tofu Use super firm or extra firm
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch For crunchy coating
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey Replace with agave syrup for vegan option
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced
For Cooking
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil Or olive oil
For Garnish
  • 2 tbsp green onions Sliced, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Press the tofu blocks for about 15-20 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  3. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes.
  4. Toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch in a mixing bowl until evenly coated.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with the vegetable oil.
  6. Sauté the tofu for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. In a saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic over medium heat.
  8. Stir continuously for about 3-5 minutes until the mixture bubbles.
  9. Transfer the tofu to the saucepan and toss gently to coat.
  10. Spread the glazed tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  11. Bake for an additional 8-10 minutes until caramelized.
  12. Garnish with green onions and serve.
