Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Chop boneless skinless chicken thighs into 1-inch pieces and toss them with cornstarch until coated.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix sesame oil, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, chicken broth, water, chili garlic sauce, and minced garlic until smooth.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat until about 1 inch deep.
  4. Carefully add coated chicken to hot oil and fry for approximately 8 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown.
  5. Remove excess oil, leaving about a tablespoon in the pan, and sauté grated ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green onions for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Return fried chicken to the pan, pour in the sauce, bring to a boil, then simmer for 3-5 minutes until sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
