Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, ½ cup of brown sugar, ½ cup of granulated sugar, and 2 cinnamon sticks. Heat over medium until the mixture reaches a gentle boil, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugars completely. Once boiled, remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Set aside to cool.
- In another saucepan, pour 4 cups of 100% pure apple juice. Warm the juice over medium heat until it’s steaming but not boiling, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in ¼ cup of the prepared cinnamon dolce syrup until fully combined. Pour this mixture into a mug, filling it about three-quarters full.
- Top the warm cider with fresh whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce. Garnish with a cinnamon stick for stirring and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
