Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine ground cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, and black pepper. Reserve 1/4 teaspoon for the whipped cream.
  2. In a saucepan, pour in the water and add the black tea leaves or tea bags along with brown sugar and the remaining spice mix. Heat over medium until simmering.
  3. Once simmering, reduce heat to low and stir in the milk. Allow the chai to steep for 5 minutes.
  4. Carefully strain the chai into mugs using a fine mesh strainer.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, honey, and reserved spice mix until soft peaks form.
  6. Top each mug of Christmas Chai Latte with the spiced whipped cream and sprinkle with additional cinnamon or nutmeg.
