Preparation Steps
- In a medium saucepan, combine thick-cut rolled oats and almond milk. Stir well, bringing to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, simmer for about 8-10 minutes.
- Midway through cooking, add the sweetened condensed milk to the saucepan and stir until combined. Continue simmering for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the pure maple syrup, vanilla extract, and apple pie spice. Let it simmer for another 1-2 minutes.
- While the porridge simmers, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt the unsalted butter. Add in brown sugar and apple pie spice, stirring until the mixture bubbles.
- Add the sliced organic apples to the skillet, tossing them in the caramel mixture and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
- Spoon the warm Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Porridge into bowls and top with the sautéed apples and optional toppings.
