  • 1 pound Ground Beef can substitute with ground turkey
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup can swap for cream of chicken
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese increase for more cheesiness or mix with mozzarella
  • 1 cup Long-grain White Rice instant rice can be used with adjusted cooking time
  • 1 cup Beef Broth adjust quantity if using instant rice
  • Optional Vegetables (peas, carrots, corn) get creative with your favorites
  • Spices (garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper) season to taste

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown approximately 1 pound of ground beef for 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef with cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and rice. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  4. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish, then transfer the beef and rice mixture into the dish.
  5. Sprinkle 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 35-40 minutes, removing the foil for the last 10 minutes.
  7. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve with a side salad or crusty bread.
