  • 6 cups Lucky Charms Cereal Any fruity cereal works as a substitution.
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies Cereal Generic puffed rice can be used.
  • 10 oz Mini Marshmallows Regular marshmallows can be swapped, but minis melt better.
  • 4 tbsp Salted Butter Unsalted butter can be used for more controlled seasoning.
  • 2 drops Green Gel Food Coloring Optional for festive flair.
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Extra Mini Marshmallows Add while warm so they stick nicely.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by greasing a 9"x13" baking dish with butter to prevent sticking.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the mini marshmallows and heat them in increments of 20 seconds until melted and smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, add the salted butter and microwave until almost melted, then stir until fully melted and combine with marshmallows.
  4. Pour the melted butter into the marshmallow mixture and stir well, then microwave for an additional 20 seconds.
  5. If using, mix in green gel food coloring until evenly distributed.
  6. Gently fold in the Rice Krispies and Lucky Charms until coated.
  7. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and press evenly into the dish.
  8. While warm, sprinkle extra mini marshmallows on top and gently press them in.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set, then cut into squares.
