- Start by greasing a 9"x13" baking dish with butter to prevent sticking.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, add the mini marshmallows and heat them in increments of 20 seconds until melted and smooth.
- In a separate bowl, add the salted butter and microwave until almost melted, then stir until fully melted and combine with marshmallows.
- Pour the melted butter into the marshmallow mixture and stir well, then microwave for an additional 20 seconds.
- If using, mix in green gel food coloring until evenly distributed.
- Gently fold in the Rice Krispies and Lucky Charms until coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and press evenly into the dish.
- While warm, sprinkle extra mini marshmallows on top and gently press them in.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set, then cut into squares.
