Basic Steps
- Warm 1 cup of milk to about 110°F. Mix with 2 teaspoons of active dry yeast and let rest for 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, whisk 4 cups of flour, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon salt. Pour in yeast mixture, add 2 eggs and 1/4 cup melted butter. Mix until shaggy.
- Knead the dough for 10-15 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
- Mix 1/2 cup softened butter, 1 cup brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons cinnamon for the filling.
- After dough rises, punch it down and roll it into a 16x12 inch rectangle. Spread filling evenly, leaving borders.
- Tightly roll dough from the long end and slice into 12-15 equal pieces. Place rolls in a greased pan.
- Cover and let rolls rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
- Mix frosting ingredients and spread generously over warm rolls after cooling for 10 minutes.
